The All-Star Music Celebration

At it's creation on November 11th, 1998 the JSF Foundation along with Music Matters Productions held our first benefit concert entitled "The All-Star Music Celebration" at the West Orange Auditorium, in West Orange New Jersey. Numerous stars and performers volunteered their talents along with seemingly endless volunteers that worked very hard behind the scenes getting everything ready for this memorable night. Justin had a front row seat for his very first and only concert.

The headliner was Gloria Gaynor and the capacity crowd came to life when she sang her hit song "I Will Survive" to Justin. The cast of performers included "Musique" that performed their hit "in the Bush" along with Charlie Thomas (The Original Drifter) who performed many of his hits including "Under the Boardwalk" and his chart breaking hit "What a Wonderful World" directly to Justin. Bobby Lewis, sang his "Tossin 'n Turnin" while "LIME" performed their song "Babe were gonna love tonight" Shirley Alston Reeves (The Original Lead Singer of the Shirelles) sang and dedicated her song "Soldier Boy" to Justin while the "Chiffons" performed their songs "He's So Fine" and"One Fine Day". Other performers included "Retro Express", and the Cast of the LHS's play "42nd street".

The entire night was electrifying and the energy level was through the roof. Justin had a great time and received a autographed photo and signed copy of Gloria's book, and a large stuffed monkey. Everyone seemed to be amazed at the number of stars that turned out for this very special event. The JSF Foundation would like to thank all of the performers, merchants and organizations that participated and pruchased ads in the program and contributed to this great cause.
